Accurate Audits
Incredible Accuracy and Flexibility
Accurate Audits
Many customers switch to RapidLog after discovering their existing log auditing
systems—even from "big name" companies—aren't auditing accurately against the
new hours-of-service rules.
RapidLog has an outstanding track record of over 350 million accurately audited
logs. Fifteen years of experience and extensive consultation with and testing by
regulatory personnel has ensured that RapidLog's audit meets the highest standards
for accuracy.
Violation Highlighting

Violations
can be highlighted on screen, making it easy to see where problems occurred.
The instant highlighting also makes driver training and "what-if" experimentation
simple as well.
Easy Falsification Checking
The FMCSA is increasingly stressing the ability of carriers to find falsified logs.
While such audits can be time- and resource-intensive, RapidLog offers efficient
tools to assist with the process.
You can do as many, or as few falsification checks as you wish. You can
skip these entirely, do small or large samples, even do 100% validation.
You decide how much energy to put into falsification detection, based on input
from your management team and enforcement officials.
"Checkpoint" Falsification Checks
You can find falsified logs by comparing the log against other known events, like
fuel stops, toll receipts and traffic tickets. Some checkpoints can be imported
electronically, like fuel stops from Comdata, EFS, TCH and TChek (see
Partners),
while other checkpoints must be entered by hand, such as traffic tickets.
You can perform two types of verification: duty-status only, and full location
verification.
For duty-status-only verification, you select the duty statuses that make sense
for a given type of checkpoint, and a window during which that duty-status must occur. For
example, with a fuel stop you'd want to see "on-duty not driving" time logged,
perhaps within one hour of the time reported by the fuel-card company.
The best part about duty-status-only verification is that the process runs entirely
automatically. You can check a few dozen or a few hundred thousand points without
human intervention.
For full location verification, you are presented with a copy of the driver's log
and the checkpoint information such as date, time and location.
Upon reviewing this information the user can flag the checkpoint as verified or
falsified.
"Reasonable Driving Time" Falsification Checks
If you want to enter location information off your logs, RapidLog can
automatically detect falsification where the driver doesn't log a reasonable amount
of driving time between locations. For example, if a driver shows he drove between two
locations that happen to be 500 miles apart, and he has only five hours of driving time
logged, you know you've uncovered a falsification.
Rapidlog links to proven third-party mileage guides like PC*Miler®, ProMiles®,
TruckMiles®, and Rand McNally IntelliRoute® (see
Partners), to calculate reasonable real-world
driving times between locations.
Flexible Violation Tracking
Add any one of 26 violations with a single click, or any one of 234 detailed subclasses
with two clicks. You control the exact wording and organization of the violation
categories, allowing for flexible tracking and reporting.
More Audits: Teams and Multiple Jurisdictions
Automatic teaming even checks logs against other drivers to verify logs synch with
co-drivers. Automatic team verification (to ensure both drivers don't log as driving
at the same time, etc.) can use truck numbers to do automated team audits. Automatic
teaming checks logs against other drivers to make sure logs match up with co-drivers.
The following jursidictions are all included at no extra charge—saving you hundreds
of dollars compared to some competitors:
US 60/7, US 70/8, US Emergency, US HazMat, US Short Haul, Oilfield, Bus, Canada, Alberta
(Can.),
Alaska 70/8, Alaska 80/8, California Truck, California Bus, Florida 7 day, Florida 8 day,
North Carolina 7 day, North Carolina 8 day, Nebraska, Nebraska Ag, Oregon 7 day, Oregon
8 day, Oregon Bus 7 day, Oregon Bus 8 day, Texas, Wisconsin 7 day, Wisconsin 8 day,
Washington, and more are on the way.
RapidLog is one of the few systems able to accurately audit drivers
that drive switch between different jurisdictions at any time.
* RapidLog Pro does not currently capture jurisdictional, truck/team changes, or
city/state information as part of the high-speed log entry process. However, you can
enter these changes after the high-speed log entry process. Jurisidction and team
changes usually take just two mouse clicks each.
