Object Open Error

Topic:

How to Fix Error: Object Open followed by Access Violation when opening a company or running the purge

Instructions:

  1. Install and open either LinqPad or SQL Management Studio
  2. Run the following query:
    • use rapidlog delete from rl_audit_trail where RecordTimestamp<DATEADD(DAY, -90, GETDATE())
  3. This will delete audit trail history and keep the last 90 days worth of information.  Adjust the number of days as you see fit.

04/04/2018 | Software Update

The following changes, fixes, and modifications are included in the 04/04/2018 Build of RapidLog.

  • Mileage calculation in Eobr Importer based on Odometers has been changed to only use odometers that should be reflecting driving time. This should fix issues with team drivers.

03/09/2018 | Software Update

New Billing System Implemented

RapidLog will no longer be offering yearly subscriptions for RapidLog updates after the 12/20/2017 build.  Instead, we are moving to a software as a service model with monthly charges.
 


Break Down of Charges:

  • $3 Per Driver Per Month
  • $0 Monthly Minimum Charges
  • $0 ELD Data Imports
  • $1 GPS Validator (optional)
  • $1 Logbook Certified Fax Imports (optional)

What this means for you: Easier, smaller monthly payments, access to technical support through the live chat, and the ability to always download the latest version of RapidLog.

Existing Subscriptions – If you currently have an active subscription the remainder of your subscription will be converted to a credit.  So for example, if you paid $399 for a subscription and have used 6 months of your subscription your account will be credited $199.50.

Expired Subscriptions – You will still be able to use the old program, but if you want the latest build then you will automatically be converted to the new monthly billing system.

12/20/2017 | Software Update

The following changes, fixes, and modifications are included in the 12/20/2017 Build of RapidLog.

  • Fixed bug in the sorting of Eobr imports. If timestamps on two points were identical it would not keep the correct order all the time.

12/01/2017 | Software Update

The following changes, fixes, and modifications are included in the 12/01/2017 Build of RapidLog.

  • The RapidLogInbox program will now import more data from the Eclipse Logbook program so it can do full AOBRD (395.15) compliance.
  • Fixed memory leak in Logs page when audit when saving logs is active.

10/23/2017 | Software Update

The following changes, fixes, and modifications are included in the 10/23/2017 Build of RapidLog.

  • Import for RapidLog ELD will calculate distance. (Other imports may also work but if the provider does not provide good odometer readings the distances may be off.)

Can’t Draw On Hidden Canvas

Topic:

How to Fix Error: “Can’t draw on hidden canvas” when trying to print a Report in RapidLog.

Instructions:

  1. Download Windows10PrinterFix.zip
  2. Unzip the file.
  3. Double click on the file and run it.  (Note: this will make an edit to your registry)
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. Try printing the report again.

07/31/2017 | Software Update

The following changes, fixes, and modifications are included in the 07/31/2017 Build of RapidLog.

  • Fixed issue with Local jurisdiction not ignoring Break requirement.
  • Added Simi-Automatic violation when changing some Canadian jurisdictions that have mandatory rest requirements before a change can occur.
  • Enlarged driver id and alternate id fields to allow 15 characters.
  • Fixed timezone issue with checkpoint seek.

RapidLog LITE is Processing Logs Slowly

Topic:

RapidLog LITE will be very slow processing logs and potentially say Not Responding at the top of the program.

Instructions:

  1. Go to the Logs page in RapidLog.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow at the top of the Violations List.
  3. Next click Audit When Saving Log to disable it.
  4. Click on the Audit button at the top of RapidLog.
    • Note: Turning off Audit when Saving log will disable auditing a log when you move to the next day. This can speed up processing logs. Just make sure you go to the Audit page in RapidLog to run an audit before running reports.
  5. Click Start. This will audit any logs that you have entered.
